Anders Melldén
I’m Anders Melldén, writer, lecturer and ”winesplainer”. Beverage magazines, daily newspapers and sommelier schools are my regular clients. On social media I make short movies about wine under the title ”Winesplaining” (@andersmellden). My interest in food and beverage comes from a previous career as a sommelier in the restaurant business, studying and training food and beverage both in Sweden and in Switzerland. I am the author of three wine books, one about rosé, two under the title Winesplaining.

Which Champagne would You treat your parents or in-laws?
‘They love growers champagnes, so it would be a bottle of Savart Bulle de Rosé.‘
Which Champagne would You treat your lover?
‘We would share Salon 1996 – because we got a bottle for our wedding 15 years ago and it should be perfect to drink now.’
Which Champagne would You treat your boss?
‘I am my own boss, so Krug Clos d’Ambonnay 2002.’
Which Champagne would You treat yourself?
‘See question 3 … But of course a mature 1990 Henriot Cuvée des Enchanteleurs fits perfectly as dessert after the Krug.’
Which Champagne would You treat a dream guest, and why?
‘Comtes de Champagne Rosé for Mariah Carey! I just read her biography and firstly – she seems to be an interesting person, very strong! And secondly, she seems to be a person who appreciates good champagne.‘
[ what piece of music would you listen to drinking wine with Your dream guest ?]
‘Well, she would have to sing ”Hero” after a few glasses.’
