BIO
I describe myself as a restless ‘bonvivant’, driven by a burning passion for photography, film, art, fashion and music. Keeping it old school as well as surfing the trends. I also have a compulsory love for Spanish natural wines AND beautiful Champagnes. Bless the Frenchies!
I’ve been traveling extensively all over the world on different editorial and commercial assignments since the late 90s. But now life is about DJ-ing, taking nice pics of beautiful things and writing about music, films and wine.
Which Champagne would You treat your parents or in-laws?
My parents enjoy Italian wines, but I know they will not turn down a glass of Pol Roger ‘Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill’ 2009. That’s what my brother served on our latest Christmas day to everybody´s enjoyment. My in-laws are unfortunately not with us anymore. But I’m sure they wouldn’t mind a sip or two from the fruity Leclerc-Briant NV ‘Rosé‘ I’ve would have served to the grilled perch.
Which Champagne would You treat your lover?
My dear wife, the love of my life deserves only the best pink bubbles for putting up with me for 30 years. Louis Roederer ‘Rosé’ 2014 is the answer. Elegant, bold and beautiful! That goes for both my woman and the Champagne!
Which Champagne would You treat your boss?
I’m a freelancer so fortunately I’m my own boss… But wait, that’s not really true, because as a freelancer I have a ton of bosses! All depending on the nature of the assignment. So, I´ll choose a versatile and generous champagne. Both the pros and those new to the magic of the French bubbles would love to have a generous amount of Philipponnat ‘Royale Réserve Brut‘, from a Magnum bottle of course!
Which Champagne would You treat yourself?
I see myself watching the sunset in Ibiza drinking the razor sharp Louis Roederer ‘Philippe Starck Brut Nature’ 2012.
Which Champagne would You treat a dream guest, and why
I would love to have a 5 course dinner with Anaïs Nin. We would talk about her exiting authorship and all of her adventures during her Paris years in the 30s. After our third bottle of Perrier Jouët ‘Belle Epoque Rosé 2012‘ she would finally come clean an admit that she actually wrote most of Henry Millers’ Tropic of Cancer.
We would listen to Club de belugas ‘Save Little love for me’ to get ink the mood.
