Lady Gaga & Dom Pérignon may be stopped by French advertising rules

In principle, France has a ban on all alcohol advertising. Unlike other countries within the EU. Even Sweden is unusually liberal in comparison. This may now affect Dom Pérignon. [read the full champagne story]

Most likely, Dom Pérignon will not be able to continue showing off its collaboration with megastar Lady Gaga – at least not in France. Although I don’t think any of them care.

What it’s about? In France there is a strict law to prevent all marketing of alcohol products. Behind the law is the Addictions France foundation whose aim is to reduce addiction and improve the health of the French. The foundation was already founded at the end of the 19th century by, among others, Louis Pasteur.
