2018 Mailly Grand Cru ‘L’Intemporelle Rosé’
60PN 40CH
‘Ultra light, volatile, light, romantic and sensual with slightly creamy features and nice berry notes in a summery twist. Charm, finesse and elegance more than power. In short, a spring-flowered oyster champagne from the start filled with opulence and smiling charm that will reach its crescendo already somewhere around 2025-2026.’
2018 Deutz ‘Rosé‘
100PN
‘Incredibly dense and concentrated, but like many 2018 champagnes entering a subdued phase as if charging to come back full speed around the corner. Frustrating energy and packed with strawberry fruitiness. The scent is currently weak, but the balance and length are impressive. Do not touch before 2029. Promise me that!’
2015 de Venoge ‘des Prince Rosé’
100PN
‘A wonderful initiative to make vintage prestige of this rosé for the first time. A silky balanced and deliciously lush and mature mix of Les Riceys and Montagne de Reims Pinot Noir. Strawberry cream and milk chocolate in abundance without losing the balance. The acidity is certainly low, but more than a hint of tannin and high extract richness in the aftertaste rescues the wine gently. No point in waiting to ease the cork. Go for it already this summer.’
