Maximilien Bernardeau left Maison Laurent-Perrier a few weeks ago, according to the union, and this information has been confirmed by the company. Having initially joined the team as an oenologist, Bernardeau quickly ascended the ranks to become cellar manager and head of the group’s wines, succeeding Michel Fauconnet.
This departure is reminiscent of Dominique Demarville’s exit, the former chef de cave at Veuve-Clicquot, who joined Laurent-Perrier in 2020 but left less than a year later. Demarville now serves as the director at Lallier Champagne in Aÿ-Champagne. Maximilien Bernardeau is now starting a new role as a sparkling wine consultant oenologist at Zero Dosage Consulting by Maximilien Bernardeau.
At Laurent-Perrier, the changes continue. Who will be next to take over? The bets are open!
