It is not often that one has the opportunity to witness a spectacular world record. I remember it like yesterday when Patrik Sjöberg facing a devoutly silent Stockholm Stadium broke the world record in the high jump in 1987 at 242.
Now it was time for the next Gothenburger – Julio Gonzalo Romero Chang to take back his old world record in sabrage. Julio lost his record of 47 bottles in 60 seconds recently. The training had reportedly been excellent. It was speculated before he would go ‘safe’ and fix 48 bottles. But no, he ultimately shattered the old record. The new entry is 55 bottles in 60 seconds!
